Rare Studio Liverpool was born out of a dissatisfaction with the lack of quality performing arts training available for young people in the North-West. Extensive research discovered that industry professionals were disappointed with the progression of talent from Liverpool onto higher education or vocational training courses. With this in mind Rare practicioners sought advice and support from the follwing along with many other professional actors, dancers and musicians.
Mark Summers – Casting Agent
Mark Summers is a leading casting agent. Mark regularly casts in both North America and Europe and has won the British Advertising Craft Award for Best Casting.
Alleviate – Renako McDonald and Nicolette Whitley (Finalists in Sky One’s ‘Got to Dance’)
Dance duo ‘Alleviate’ captured the hearts of thousands of fans and brought the judges to their feet, following their breath-taking performances that saw them reach the final three acts in the last series of Sky 1′s Got To Dance.
Chris O’Neill is an accomplished musician / songwriter and actor. He has been involved in bands, films and the stage since the age of 14.
Lavelle Smith Jr
Lavelle Smith Jr worked as Michael Jackson’s lead dancer, choreographer and friend for over 20 years, helping to create some of his most iconic moves.
Simon Britton of Red Rhythm is the prolific Award Winning US/UK Hit Record Producer, Songwriter. He has also featured in many Films, TV and Advertising Campaigns, notably Eastenders, The Commander, Prime Suspect and Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows.
Scot Williams is an English actor, writer and producer for stage, film and television. He has been working regularly in film, stage and TV since 1994.
Josh Warmby is a professional commercial dancer, working with the likes of American choreographer Brian Freidman on ITV’s “The X Factor”. Other credits include Nicole Scherzinger, Take That, Alexandra Burke, Pink, Will.I.Am, X Factor France, Capitol FM’s Jingle Bell Ball and Summertime Ball, Radio 1′s Big Weekend and the Brit Awards 2011.
